This depends on whether or not the water tank is empty. If the co-ordination of drainage has been successful and the tank is empty when we arrive onsite, it will take no more than a few hours.
The simple answer is no. Every water tank has bacteria within it contaminating the water. Placing contaminated water within a newly cleaned tank defeats the purpose of cleaning.

We rely primarily on visual inspections when looking how clean an air conditioning system is. Opening the access panel, looking how dirty the plenum is, how dirty the fan coil unit filter is and looking into the supply diffuser will give you a good indication of the cleanliness of the system.

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) was founded in 1989 to create an industry guideline and set a minimum standard for air conditioning cleaning companies to adhere to. It is a certification based association, where members have to demonstrate that they have the knowledge, understanding and experience to be a NADCA member.

As most air conditioning systems are not cleaned after construction, building materials such as dust, gypsum, concrete, timber, plastic and other materials are usually found within the air conditioning system.

We would advise that the air conditioning system be left on, set to a low fan speed and at around 20 to 22 degrees.
